Sunday Sundries....

......two new arrivals at my house.

I have always wanted a large chiming clock. I'm thrilled to have this one. It has a mellow tone. So lovely to hear in the quiet of the night.

My new sewing pal Ellie. She will be my travel companion when I am sewing away from home. She is over 40 years old but she sews beautifully.

Recently I found out about the Taupo Rocks project.
We went walking in the Botanical garden this week. We found several rocks (all of which we left behind for other happy hunters) , this one was my favourite. Painted in an Aboriginal dot style it looked very pretty glistening in the early morning dew.

Two quick and easy baby / cot sized quilts completed. These will go in our "gifting" department.
The larger one I constructed jelly roll style from a Moda scrap bag fabric collection. The other one was made by Peggy using Elizabeth Hartman's Baby Charm Square pattern

And just because I know you will be looking for a kitty photo. My sweet Hershey sleeping on my handmade patchwork balls. Little treasure!

I'm still having lots of issues trying to get photos into Windows Live Writer where I prefer to write my blog. So this blog is coming via my IPad.

Thanks for popping by

  1. Your new clock is a beauty. Is it a monthly or weekly wound clock? I have two wall regulator clocks that count the hour and half hour. I've had them for years, and I'm so used to them that I no longer hear them chime unless I specifically listen for them.

I haven't seen any of the painted rocks, but others in this area have found some.

  2. Lots of lovely Sunday Sundries here. And haven't you been busy, and Peggy too. It's always good to have a couple of baby quilts on hand.

I love hearing from you - write now!
