It’s Blooming Amazing!

.....I've actually finished a quilt for me! Last year our Sweet Pea Group made the "Bloom" quilt designed by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet. I used the technique that Lori uses, one of our Sweet Peas used fusible webbing and one made hers with wool. This is the biggest applique project I have ever made. I have to admit that I am not enamored with applique. I enjoy the hand stitching part but all that tracing and preparation makes me feel brain dead.

Anyway without further ado here it is:

Full bloom quilt

Lots of doodling going on in the background of these block:

Bloom tulips

Bloom quilt on slant

The backing is quite cute too.

Sharing with Linda and Julie "sew, stitch, snap, share

Thanks for popping by

  2. Look at all that texture! I love how the quilting gives the blocks dimension. The quilt is gorgeous.

Appliqué is beautiful, but far too fiddly for me to do.

  5. Have to admit I don't like the tracing and other prep for applique, worth it though, when this is the end result. Thanks for linking to Sew, Stitch, Snap, SHARE.
