Bitty Houses…….

Bitty Houses village one
A wee while ago I spotted Bitty Blocks on Quiltmakers site. I found the Bitty Houses very appealing. I thought stitching a few of these a day would be the idea project to make me take a wee break away from my quilting machine. Five a day I thought. Well that soon turned into monster! These blocks finish at 3”, super cute, super addictive.
Peggy a I have a scrap harvesting system which means we have lots of pre cut squares available. This made it easy to find a large variety of fabrics very quickly. This where I am up to with my Bitty Houses production:
Bitty Houses all the blocks
I figured that joining these Bitty blocks in rows might end up with a hot bendy mess so I am building villages, 3 blocks by 3 blocks.

Then I will move onto Towns and finally my City will come together. I’m loving using fabrics which have been in my/our stash for up to twenty years!
It takes a village…..

Sweet Peas

Now that’s a heading I haven’t used for awhile. Blogging friends have been asking me about Sweet Peas so I thought I better check in and let you know that we still meet every two weeks and we are all still stitching away. The ladies were here today so let me share what they have been creating:
Andreena found a super tutorial on You Tube and stitched up this tote. If you think you would like to make one you can find the tutorial here.

Debbie has made two quilts for her Grandsons. The first one is for Perrin:

I love all the bright colours. Did you spot the cats in the cars?
The second one is for Jaxon, who although he is only three is motor bike crazy. He has his own wee motor bike that he can ride already.

Debbie got right in there and free motion quilted around the bikes and riders, adding lots of texture.

Way back in 2013 we all made each other a block or two for our Birthdays. Peggy requested Road to Oklahoma for her blocks. She made the top up a long time ago but it has been in a dark place maturing.
