Today we rescued a Damsel in distress

…………….look at this lovely damsel:

How about this for a haughty look?

Look at this lace. All home made and hand stitched on. All of this vintage treasure has been hand stitched even the binding.

The posy she is holding forms a wee pocket. It is a tiny bit damaged on the top there, just to the right. I have sneaked some lick and stick in behind the tear. Some tiny secret stitches and a new line of stem stitches and it will be as good as new.

Some marks to remove, a good soak and starch then this apron will be on its way to a special girl.

Thanks for popping by

  4. Im just looking at how much work went into making this in the first place. Your damsel is lovely and deserves to have a tweak here and there to bring her back to her former glory.

  5. Is that a lucky Op Shop find? It's really lovely, all that hand work from years gone by.
