A Pineapple Explosion

Sweet Peas gathered at our house today.

We had a little stitching, learning how to construct an Exploding Pineapple Block.

A fun easy way to make a Pineapple style block. No triangles to cut and no waste.

We also dashed out to visit one of our group who recently celebrated a big something zero Birthday. We presented her with a Pineapple Blossom quilt which Sweet Peas and three other friends made for her.

So it has been a sweet pineapple flavoured day.

  1. What a pretty block! I especially like the pansy fabric. Sounds like a fun "Pineapple" day.

  2. Wow, I like that technique. Thanks for the video link. Amazing!

  3. wow, that is really a neat way of doing it. i love the look.

  4. Great information but most of all.........I LOVE the name of your quilting mini-group! Am a longarmer here in Texas and piece when time permits. We have 'fur people' at our house too!

  5. have recently been given a link to this tutorial, wow so much easier than doing the other pineapple and like the look it gives better too.

I love hearing from you - write now!
